Next up on Meet the Team, we’ve got Francis Obese-Jecty. He tells us all about his role, what it involves and his favourite thing about it…
What’s your job at Tactical Solutions?
I am Territory Sales Manager on the Innocent channel.
What does your job involve?
I have a set of roughly 30 stores to go to every week, about 6 calls a day. We mainly work with Tescos, Sainsburys, Morrissons, and Asda. I support availability and sales for Innocent, so I help stores identify and rectify stock issues and support them with bringing in new lines. I deal with a variety of staff in stores, usually the fresh managers, team leaders, and stock controllers. I also inform them of upcoming promotions and establish what we can do to maximise sales, whether it is ordering more stock, building extra displays, or increasing our shelf space.
What do you enjoy most?
The thing I enjoy the most is creating and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers who appreciate what you’re doing for the store and for the client and give you a lot of flexibility.
What are you most proud of?
There are a lot of reps out there for various companies and not all of them have the store’s interests at heart. Consequently some managers are reluctant to deal with anyone from outside the store. Because I am able to show them that I’m different and I am working for the store as well as for the client, I often turn them around and gain their trust, which is a great achievement in itself!
