Tactical Solutions makes a splash at the Windermere Row!

23 May,2019

As you will already know, on the 11th May Tactical Solutions took part in the Grocery Aid Windermere Row.

After a fantastic day full of excitement, hard work, and community spirit, we are over the moon to announce that thanks to the efforts of everyone involved and the kindness of all our supporters, we managed to raise just over £500 for Grocery Aid! We couldn’t be happier with the result and it was the best news to top off a great day out on the water.

If you need a quick reminder of the great work that Grocery Aid do, then here’s a little background:

Grocery Aid has been providing all important guidance, financial help, and support to everyone in the Grocery sector for over 162 years. Whether you’re a huge chain, highstreet dweller or a charming independent, Grocery Aid is there for anyone who needs a helping hand. As a company that often works with many brands in the Grocery Industry, what could have been better than supporting this amazing charity in one of their infamous fundraisers – especially in the great weather!

The Windermere Row consists of family, friends and colleagues alike taking to the water for a 10-mile row around the lake. As a group mostly made up of rowing novices, the event was certainly challenging. But what a day we had!  Great fun for everyone involved and all for a fantastic cause.

So if you didn’t have the pleasure of joining us on the day, here’s a little taste of how things went!

Surrounded by the idyllic waters of Lake Windermere, team ‘Tactical Solutions’ definitely looked the part in their dashing wetsuits and life jackets as they boarded their boats – armed with their on-shore teams of cheerleaders who, as you can see, also took part in all the fun.

With 10 miles completed and the crowds roaring in support, all rowers and onlookers wiped the sweat from their brows and exchanged their wetsuits for their glad rags. The festivities continued at Low Wood Hotel where our team was treated to a well-earned meal and a few awards were given out whilst we fondly remembered the day.

As the photos show, as well as the amazing figure we were able to raise – the day was a success. If you’re feeling like you missed out, you’ll be glad to know that the Windermere Row is taking place next year Saturday 9th May! Make sure to book your place in the 2020 fundraiser if you would like to take part. Try something new, bring the family and raise money for a great cause – take it from us, you won’t regret it!
